Dickies Shorts

I dont know if these exact model is still made or not. It was ran at Target a few years back. These are hands down the best shorts ever made. They wear like iron, extremly affordable at $20,  dont fade, dont stain and work great for cycling (I have put 1000s of miles on mine and they still look great). . I think i have 4 pairs but have been unable to find more. I did write to corporate and talked to a rep and they said these dont make these anymore which is sad. I told them i would buy 10 pairs right now if they had any left over stock in my size and i would pay full price but no luck.

What makes these great as well is they have a proper button and not that stupid little worthless clip that all other Dickies pants have. It is a proper metal button.

Dickies has gone down hill over the years. They have lines / models that the only sell to Target and Walmart which i guess is normal for most companies but the quality was still the same. That really really stiff twill fabric they use is fantastic. It takes a few wearings / washes to get them to calm down but once they do, they are perfect.

I have scoured online overstock sites and ebay for them but cant find them in the exact model i want (with the metal button).  I have even ordered probably 7 different pairs from amazon.......and then returned them because they are not the same.

The model was / is WR201 followed by a color code of bk, slv, gry etc.

Some other stupid things i cant stand is Dickies stock pictures of the current line of all pants and shorts show the pants with a belt. You cant see the closure system and it doesn't state what it is. How in the world do you know how your pants will close? That little buckle system they have might work fine but it looks like it would break, bend or fail before anything else and it looks stupid.

The best replacement i have found is the industrial line of uniformware they make. Thing is they dont fit the same. About an inch longer and a different color. They have a few other differences as well...but they are close enough i guess. I just dont like them as much.

Verdict: Highly Recommended (if you can find them)

Stanley Insulated Coffee Mug

This thing is fantastic. I believe it comes in 3 different sizes. I am a bit of a thermos  connoisseur    meaning i have a lot of them. Everything from vintage ones to food jars to mugs like this. In my opinion this is WAY better than Kleen Kanteen or Hydroflask (Yes i have both). Those appear to be more of a fad. IF you want something that works well, get this Stanley. i have the 16oz version. It keep stuff hot for a very long time; Same with cold.  I think they run ~$20 and you can get them at Amazon or locally at Walmart. I wont go into that because nobody cares. Pour your liquid into it and then drink it. If you are pouring your liquid into it to let it sit for a week and then complain when it isnt still the same temperature, you are kind of an idiot. The pictured lid style is now harder to find but i believe it looks and works better than the latest model. Yes i have both. The current model is also very very good and would be my second choice and it is ...

Anker Rechargeable Bolder LC90 LED Flashlight

This Anker LC90 is really good for the money. Great Flashlight...but more importantly you can run it as a bike light using the mount recommended in another post just below. I had to shim it with a small piece of plastic from a milk carton but it worked out great. Its a bit larger and heavier than your normal small pocket LED flashlight but its SUPER bright and works really well on the bike. You will surely be seen with this thing.  Verdict: Recommended.  Link:  https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Tactical-Flashlight-Rechargeable-Water-Resistant/dp/B01KH2JP5G

Ryobi 1/2 inch impact...non brushless

I finally got around to picking up a cordless impact. This is not the brushless version but im not sure why you would need that over this.  I have used this regularly with the big batteries and it does everything and then some.  Removed 174 ft lb 35mm axle nut on a truck. Removes lug nuts no problem.  Pulled all my shocks out front and rear to put in new ones....no problem Remove steering rack bolt at 120 - 140ft lbs no problem ...and im in the rust belt. Massive corrosion on everything. Its a monster for the price. It runs $140 but you can get it much cheaper if you watch for sales or bundles. I think i gave $99.  Verdict: Recommended, Link:  https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-18-Volt-ONE-Cordless-3-Speed-1-2-in-Impact-Wrench-Tool-Only-P261/205885687
