2.5 gallon small shop vac

Not all shop vacs work well. This tiny one does. I use it everywhere. TONs of power and very portable. Sadly they change these every few years likely as a cost cutting measure so designs may vary. I have the older round model but same size. This one appears to have a better handle but not enough to make me buy it again just to have that. Its also got a nice wall hanging feature. Mine doesnt have that either and that might be nice for some. The one i have is the 2 gallon model which doesnt appear for sale any longer. I have to imagine this is the same, just a tad bigger with a few more features. The filters are SUPER cheap and cleanable/reusable a few times before having to be replaced. Harbor Freight US General 44in Tool Chest

These boxes are as any big name brand at a much much less cost. Thick gauge metal and very well built. I have a craftsman box i got back in the 90s and this is better.  Two months after i got mine they came out with a newer series 2 model that had a bit deeper full pull drawers. I was a bit bummed by that as i would rather have had that but the series 1 is still very good and aside from that, they are identical. They can be had on sale at a very good price.$350?...I cant remember but these are top notch.  Better than anything sold in the big box stores by brands like Milwaukee, Dewalt, Husky, Craftsman, etc by far. Dickies Fleece Lined Hooded Sweatshirts

These in a size XL are the best.  I have had one for many many years and just bought a second one for when that one wears out. The "fleece" inside isnt that crappy 90s fleece garbage that you might remember with the thick seams. This is a waffle like material that is just a good liner. The full zipper is well made and no issues there. Seems to hold up well to daily wear under my coat and around the house....and even sleeping in. I wear mine constantly. Shop around. They can be had for $25-45. Verdict:  Highly Recommended Link:  https://www.dickies.com/hoodies/fleece-full-zip-hoodie/TW291.html?dwvar_TW291_color=BK#start=1

Dickies Eisenhower Jacket

This jacket is fantastic. I have several old mechanics jackets from the 1950s - 60s. This is the next best thing.  I have worn mine for years and love it. Durable, lightweight, doesnt stain  easy, comfortable....and works great over a hooded sweatshirt. It cuts wind great and even works well for cycling if you are a commuter. Verdict: Highly Recommended. Link:  https://www.fleetfarm.com/detail/dickies-men-s-lined-eisenhower-jacket-charcoal/0000000093887?Ntt=dickies%20jacket

USN - US Navy Deck Bib Pants

These beat any bib style overalls i have ever tried. Super comfortable and really really warm. They are a bit harder to find but if you can find them, i recommend picking them up. They are perfect for winter. They are somewhat water proof as they are designed to be worn by the USN while on the "deck" of air craft carriers. Most are WWII - Korea vintage. .....1940s - 1960s I cant recommend these enough to anyone. I picked up my pair at a swap meet in a cornfield about 15 years ago from an old timer. They get used constantly and i love them. Verdict: Highly Recommended Link: ???

Military Surplus M65 / M55 Field Jacket

These jackets are great. Probably the most comfortable that i have. I have had mine for 25 years or so and some how have picked up 1 or 2 more.  Dont bother with the remakes and fashion garbage. Get a good well used one of these issued to the actual military. The fabric is super soft....and the coat is heavy. The zippers are HUGE and well made. They have a spot in the collar for a zipped in hood. They have closures around the wrists and plenty of large pockets.  Classic jacket but more importantly is how comfortable they are. Second to none. You can even get a liner that you can button into the inside of these to make them even warmer although i have never needed one. They are plenty warm as is. They were designed for full time outdoor army in cold weather. IF it is good enough for them, its good enough for me. These were issued between the mid 1950 through the mid 1980s and are very easy to find.  Verdict: Highly Recommended Link: ???

Dickies Men's Diamond Quilted Nylon Jacket

I have an old KEY quilted jacket from the 1960s but the zipping started failing and it is extremely beat up. I have had it since i was about 12. It is still one of my favorite jackets and i may go get the zipper replaced some day but its almost not worth it. If i could find another jacket just like it i would pick it up in a second. Anyway....looking for something simular i found this. This jacket has been around for just about as long. When i first got it i hated it. The collar and sleeves drove me nuts and the jacket is a bit stiff and puffy at first. I still used it and wore it over my hooded sweatshirt all the time. I slept in it and washed it a few times now its one of my favorites. Tough as nails as long as you are not welding or near a camp fire. Cuts wind great and is warm, light and made well. Over time it has softened up and is fine now. You dont even realize you have it on. Verdict: Great. Recommended. Definitely not garbage. Link:  https://www.tractorsupply.com...

Dickies Shorts

I dont know if these exact model is still made or not. It was ran at Target a few years back. These are hands down the best shorts ever made. They wear like iron, extremly affordable at $20,  dont fade, dont stain and work great for cycling (I have put 1000s of miles on mine and they still look great). . I think i have 4 pairs but have been unable to find more. I did write to corporate and talked to a rep and they said these dont make these anymore which is sad. I told them i would buy 10 pairs right now if they had any left over stock in my size and i would pay full price but no luck. What makes these great as well is they have a proper button and not that stupid little worthless clip that all other Dickies pants have. It is a proper metal button. Dickies has gone down hill over the years. They have lines / models that the only sell to Target and Walmart which i guess is normal for most companies but the quality was still the same. That really really stiff twill fabric the...

Harbor Freight 20 Bin Cases

I used to have a ton of those sorters with the small drawers on them on my bench and while they worked well they were mainly just a pain to find stuff and i would often overlook what i already had and couldnt find what i needed. They just led to a bunch of wasted time while trying to get something done. I stumbled across these cases to hold small bike parts and they are just like the Stanley ones but much much cheaper. Each little bin comes out which is handy. All the bins are interchangeable too so you can change and mix up the bins in the cases. Pros: 1. The bins can be moved around in the cases. 2. You can carry them to your workspace which is awesome because i like to work outside on nice      days and not in the garage and if you need to bring them somewhere you can throw them in your car or whatever for that. 3. You look straight down through the cover and see exactly what you have and how many very quickly. 4. The hinges and latches on them seem good enoug...

Base Camp Angle Iron 2 Burner Stove

I was going to buy a old cast iron one at swapmeet and didnt. I later found this. It is much lighter but made of angle iron. It is a very simple design like those early pioneer cast iron ones. It works fantastic. Beats the heck out of cooking inside in the summer and you can made as big of a mess as you want. No clean up when cleaning outdoors. I would really like if the legs folded down for easier storage but it isnt bad as is.  Works much better than those small coleman style kerosene stoves. Pyrex Bowls with Handle P-150-B or V-150-B

Pyrex bowls with handle. These are fantastic. They are the perfect size for meal prep and can go directly from the fridge/freezer to the oven or microwave. You can get lids for them too but they are getting hard to find. The V model is the clear Visions line and the P model is the white one. Pyrex later branded this as the GRAB IT bowl. Same thing...cheaper logo. There are fakes out there too. Make sure it says Pyrex on the underside of the handle or you probably have a piece of dumb garbage. They made them with a few different patterns on them and even made one for Corning Ware that has the blue corn flower logo. The one shown has a glass lid. I have only ever had one of those. THe plastic lids are better but both are hard to find. This stuff is very durable and can be dropped on a hard surface and not break or chip Pyrex was developed by NASA (from what i read) to be used on rockets and used on the shuttle nose cones to survive re-entry. I guess if it is good enough for that, i...
